welcome to the site.
the aim and reason for this site is to inspire 4x4 drivers and reveal the hidden gems of shropshire- the byways of old that you probably didnt know was there.
a greenlane or byway open to all traffic can be encountered on an o.s map by choice or you may even stumble upon one.
but its not as simple as just opening the gate and driving like hell for leather. there are rules that should be abided when using these rights of way and there are many hidden dangers that should be noted.
more will be explained in this site.

the picture taken was on a rocky stepped lane out of bouldon shropshire, just a few metres after a river crossing. the steps are roughly one foot high and you will need good departure and approach angles to negotiate them.
